"Need"

It's getting out of control.

The cyber-begging garbage, that is.

There's Karyn, the self-proclaimed "hottie". There's the "just one little dollar" guy, whom I mentioned two days ago. There's even some lumpy schmuck who has a site asking people to buy him a hooker. That one is a hoax or a spoof, I think. (I never wrote about that one.)

And now there's another. This one needs a BMW. This time I won't link directly to the site. If you're in the mood to spill some bile, check it out here: http://www.geocities.com/need_a_bmw/.

"Dan the Goose", the first person to comment on "Karyn's Kin?" was right. As he said, "We need to stop linking to these losers!"

I jokingly told Dan, in a comment, that we needed to stop telling other people what to link. I still believe that, in general. But in particular cases such as these, I must say I agree with Dan.

Jodi et al:

What puzzles me is the seemingly irresistable attraction linking to these sites has for so many.

There are many other distasteful, unattractive, stupid, disgusting, etc., sites, but somehow people resist the temptation to post a link to them. I suggest we add this category to that interminable list of things we all know are out there, but to which we don't have to give undeserved recognition and suggested encouragement.

Yes, the whole thing is ridiculous. I suppose the next step is for someone to lobby that individuals who simply fuck up their finances can be granted 501(c)(3) status. Blechh.

Oh, and I know this is undermining what I said before, but c'mon...look at this: Don't Save Karyn

I need $2000 for plane tix and a hotel in New York for a weekend, but Karyn doesn't want to share.

Well, I guess it's back to the naval base...

What this guy "needs" is a reality check. If I had the $33000.00 I would DEFINATELY give it to him...yeah right! You know what I could do with an extra 33 thousand dollars?? I hope he burns.
