IMs? Sure they're neat!
But transcribed on your blog, cat?
Oh man, is that beat!

All your comments are belong to us.
Offered by: aaron on September 9, 2002 3:50 PMAaron: I actually did "LOL" when I read your comment.
Jason: You don't have to be agreeable. Just be yourself. That's all I ask.
That goes for everyone, of course. (And as asinine and cheesy and mundane and gross as that sounds, I actually mean it.)
I hate when people agree with me because they think I will "hate" them if they don't. I'd rather someone honestly disagree with me than blindly agree with me because they want me to think they're "cool" or something. Feh!
Actually, I'm getting bored with this. I am "officially" closing the comments on this matter.
Any disputes from here on out should be taken "outside".
Offered by: Jodi on September 9, 2002 1:58 PMWell I realize that a couple people posted their own thoughts on the matter, but maybe I'm just overly sensitive to this lately. I've seen far too much "well this person wrote this so it must be right and I have to agree otherwise they won't like me" crap going on.
However since I am now letting the pressure release from my head, I should be back to my normal agreeable self shortly. Just ignore my rudeness until that breakthrough happens. :o)
Offered by: Jason on September 9, 2002 1:54 PMGood comment Dan!
I know a couple of "pundits" and it seems like their online output is one big cut-n-paste job!
:)
Offered by: Max on September 9, 2002 1:25 PMJodi: you're site SuXx0R!!!
Aaron: LOL
Jodi: im hella funny.
Aaron:LMAO!!
Jodi: jodiverse oWNz j00!!!!
Aaron: ROTFLMAO!!!
Anita: I know you were spouting off. 'Tis OK to spout off!
Offered by: Jodi on September 9, 2002 10:25 AMI know you wouldn't Jodi, I was just spouting off.
I just uninstalled my AIM the other day, and I find that my computer starts up much more faster now.
Offered by: Anita on September 9, 2002 10:07 AMLet's all just become pundits.
Offered by: Dan the Goose on September 9, 2002 3:44 AMJason, I have my own opinion, which I expressed earlier. The fact that it's similar to that of Jodi's is a happy coincidence.
Most of the regular readership her is reasonably intelligent, and doesn't feel any compunction to suck up to Jodi.
In fact, during an IM conversation with her yesterday, I was only too willing to let her know when (IMO) she was wrong!
Be assured, however, no transcript of our conversation will ever appear on any website of mine. It's akin to posting mp3's of phonecalls you've had - tedious in the extreme.
Offered by: Max on September 9, 2002 1:29 AMJason: No one needs to "learn" how to have his or her own opinion. Looks like everyone here already has one, which is great. I'm glad people have their own opinions. And I'm glad that they differ.
Dan the Goose: No one is right or wrong. To say that someone is "wrong", though, is not right.
deliah and Nicole: You two are so disgusting! Keep up the good work, my loves!
Anita: I would never go on someone else's site and tell that person what to do!
Offered by: Jodi on September 9, 2002 12:41 AMHeeeeellllloooo people... Learn to have your own opinion. I haven't ever posted an IM conversation, but that's mainly because I don't use IM that much. Like anything else, if the tool is used wisely (i.e. sparingly and in proper context) it will be successful. Just my $.02
(Goose is the master of IM bloggage.) :)
Offered by: Jason on September 8, 2002 11:45 PMAm I the only one who doesnt IM? I havent used my IMs for....about two years now. I just dont think they are all that great. Id rather call someone:)
Offered by: Amanda on September 8, 2002 10:28 PMPosting IM's? I have never seen that done. Of course my IM's aren't usually deep conversations. I only IM one friend; the rest of my contact list are work colleagues.
Offered by: Zuly on September 8, 2002 9:16 PMCan you go tell everyone at Live Journal that, Jodi? Its like every live journal I go to, 1 out of 3 has an AIM transcripton on it!
Offered by: Anita on September 8, 2002 8:34 PMOh poo and tits...twats too? If so, then it is an online must to post to the nth degree...
You know, because we all want to know.
No, really, we do.
Truly.
Really.
Offered by: deliah on September 8, 2002 7:57 PMUmm. Jodi is right, as always. Using an AIM conversation as a journal entry is laziness at its finest. It's like "Ooooo look at me. I'm cool and I have AIM conversations that are funny (to no one else but me!)"
Jodi...I'm gonna start posting logs of our AIM time together. Zzzzzzzzzzzz No wait, THOSE conversations actually ARE interesting.
And while we're at it, let's name-drop and post pictures of our breasts too! Or talk about our latest poo episode!!!
Offered by: Nicole on September 8, 2002 7:37 PMTranscribed instant chats
like the retelling of dreams
Jodi says: boring.
Goose the Force: I'm convinced that people of the anti-AIM opinion are wrong. One might think that opinions are subjective, and that everyone is entitled to their own, but that's actually not the case. You're all just wrong.
Offered by: Dan the Goose on September 8, 2002 6:07 PMNo matter which way you slice it, it's still laziness.
It wouldn't be so bad if the perpetrators posted conversations that were actually interesting and/or informative, but they don't.
It's bad enough that some blogs are diary replacements for people with uninteresting lives, but to have to wade through their dullard conversations as well? No thanks.
Offered by: Max on September 8, 2002 5:46 PMSometimes it's a very effective tool to introduce an idea.
Offered by: Joan on September 8, 2002 5:35 PMSorry Jodi, but you're just wrong there.
Offered by: Dan the Goose on September 8, 2002 4:45 PM
