Here and There

Ordinarily I don't like to post other people's words in my entries, but these were just irresistible. I won't say where I found them. The person who used them said they were not his or her words either, so I couldn't attribute them to the source even if I were so inclined. I'm just happy to pass them along, regardless of their origin:

"There" is no better than "here". When your "there" has become "here", you will simply obtain another "there" that will, again, look better than "here".

Have a fabulous evening, wherever you are.

Personally, I think it is all neither here nor there. Or is it there nor here?

Does this differ substantially from talking about the grass, fences, and perceived degrees of green-ness?

sounds similar to the line in the movie I.Q. when Albert Einstein explains that there is no "now" because as soon as it has happened it becomes part of the the past.

It went on for a few lines and I wish I could quote it directly but...well I can't remember it all.

I guess it isn't that similar anyhow..ehhh...

Hey Leo:

Thanks for your semi-logical misdirected connection. The "shades" must be very hazy indeed. Your comment was nearly complimentary. Trust me.

P.S. I am one who really appreciates Carlin's bit about one person's stuff being another person's shit. It really doesn't match Jodi's post very well at all.

I point this out with the very best of intentions and good feeling.

This post has shades of George Carlin's classic bit about shite and stuff.

"How come, whenever all my belongings are somewhere, it's stuff. But whenever it's somebody else's things, it's shite? As in, 'what's my stuff doing here' compared to 'what's your shite doing here?'

It's much funnier when said by him. Trust me.
