I figured out what you were trying to tell us, but the question remains:

What did you do with The Abominable Rug in the end? What fate befell it? Ritual burning? A shallow grave?

Or did you sell it to one of Madame Zaa-Zaa's gullible clients, claiming it was an ancient artifact, as old as the hills?

I have a couple of things I need you to handle, if you don't mind, Jodi. You're perfect for the job!

Offered by: Joan on October 17, 2002 12:15 AM

Jodi, I have no words. I love you.

Offered by: Jess on October 16, 2002 10:44 PM

They didnt even have scissors to cut the paper with...it looks like they ripped it with their teeth, and wrote the note with their toes.

Offered by: Amanda on October 16, 2002 8:51 PM

Couldn't help yourself! Too funny! I wish you were my neighbor!

The mp3 has traumatized me only in that it is now playing in a continuous loop in my head...much like it was when that horrendous movie with Zeta-thingy's husband was being advertised.

The D and I tortured each other imitating that very same mp3.

Also, you should place the rug randomly in front of your own door and feign ignorance if accused of nicking it. That is if you could stand the sight of it.

Offered by: deliah on October 16, 2002 4:33 PM

OMG! What did you DO with it??? & that mp3 scared me. You could do scary commercials. heh. :D

Offered by: Jewels on October 16, 2002 4:25 PM

Are there robberies in your apartment building? Do they only target and steal hideous carpets? Life of crime does often start with petty crimes...

Offered by: Sally on October 16, 2002 4:21 PM

*bows head* no..I didnt click on the hmmm until now because I too thought it would be an mp3 of "things that make you go hmmm" in which case I would have vomited all over my desktop. ;)

Next time I'll pay attention!

Realizing that she has made a MAJOR faux pas, Deb grovels at the feet of OneGorgeousJodi... and begs for forgiveness (see earlier comment.. err.. don't look.. just forgive).

Now that I *GET* the joke, I marvel at your evil genius!

Offered by: Deb on October 16, 2002 3:45 PM

aahhhhhhhh.

(I just assumed it was that "Things that make you go hmm" song, and didn't bother.)

Realistically though - shouldn't they have known that someone was going to remove their rug, and boobytrapped it, or taken it inside or something? After all, they are psychics.

Offered by: aaron on October 16, 2002 3:44 PM

Evil Evil Evil. I am so proud of you, Jodi. It brings a tear to my eye. Really, it does.

Ahem ... while you were at it, why didn't you tear off those two sheets of soggy, one-ply toilet paper that are being used like "tape." That's even worse than the tragic carpet. Barf.

Offered by: Evil Kelly on October 16, 2002 3:31 PM

You didn't? You did! You go girl!

Offered by: Mad Genius on October 16, 2002 3:00 PM

Erin, did you click on "Hmmm" at the end of the entry?

Offered by: Jodi on October 16, 2002 2:54 PM

What the f happened to the carpet?

Offered by: Erin on October 16, 2002 2:44 PM

Ahh yes. Karyn.

Doesn't anyone get what this entry is about? It's not about the fact that these people publicly posted their absence. It's about something else. Take a look at the original photo and post (linked to at the beginning of this entry), and then come back to today's.

Offered by: Jodi on October 16, 2002 2:33 PM

Either that, or they've used their psychic powers to deduce that somethig REAL bad is going to go down in your building between today and tomorrow. I'd get out too if I were you, Jodi.

Offered by: aaron on October 16, 2002 2:33 PM

Ten dollars that they aren't back....EVER.

Offered by: deliah on October 16, 2002 2:28 PM

My God! That sound! it sounds like...Jesus! It sounds like....Karyn!

Offered by: Mad Genius on October 16, 2002 2:26 PM

Possible Christmas gifts for this nasty neighbor...

1) Penmanship lessons and some brightly colored and cool felt tip pens. (ACK! it's terrible! and so public!)

2) push pins... (is that duct tape?)

3) a clue (don't they KNOW that this is an open invitation? come on in.. take it all...and as Sassy said... be out by Wednesday evening.)

Offered by: Deb on October 16, 2002 2:20 PM
