I love these coy girl "bloggers" who post photos of themselves on their blogs but who insist on writing things like, "Oh god, this one makes me look fat!" or "In this one, I'm making a silly face!" or "My best friend tells me I look just like Kate Winslet in this one, but I don't see the resemblance at all!"
Of course, the commenters-as-fans dash to the coquette's rescue and tell her there's no way she looks fat, and her silly face is just adorable, and oh god, girl, "Kate Winslet should be happy to look just like YOU!"
fresh-baked at 10:29 PMI'm particularly fond (gag) of the gang of chicks on Flickr continually posting 'artistic' half (or whole) naked pictures of themselves with that come-hither (or I'm afraid! or I'm coy! or I'm introspective! or or or) gaze and then going on and on about how they aren't REALLY photographers but they try and they are learning and they respect themselves and the female body is beautiful and you should respect them, too, but don't leave a rude comment or I will block you...and then they lick one another's beautiful assholes (so to speak) about how incredibly DEEP the photo is, how much it SAYS, how technically stellar, how evocative, what talent!, what verve! and blah blah blah...shut the fuck up and put some clothes on, bitch! Or, at the very least, admit, if only to yourself, that you put up those pics because you think you look hot and you love the attention you get. Self-awareness is a beautiful thing, too.
